EIGE’s Brussels Liaison Officer, Sarah Cooke O'Dowd takes part and speaks in the conference “25 Years of Equality: Milestones, Challenges and Horizons”, organised by Equinet in Brussels.
The event marks an important milestone in the EU’s journey towards equality and non-discrimination – the 25th anniversary of three key instruments: Directive 2000/43, Directive 2000/78, and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. These have played a crucial role in advancing equality and protecting fundamental rights across the Union.
Bringing together voices from across Europe’s equality landscape, the one-day conference will reflect on the progress made, explore current challenges, and look ahead to future priorities. It offers a timely opportunity to share experiences, exchange ideas and strengthen the collective commitment to a more inclusive Europe.
